USTA/Midwest Section Bringing Tennis to Ohio Schools

Within the past 6 months, the USTA/Midwest Section, working closely with the local Districts, have been able to bring tennis to 19 schools in the Canton School District, 31 schools in the Akron School District, and 16 schools in the Cincinnati School District. The coordinated effort culminated in March 2014 when 75 schools in the Cleveland Metro School District, the second largest district in the state of Ohio, also added tennis to their physical education curriculums. Tennis a Success at Arnold Sports Festival

The USTA/Midwest Section and the Arnold Sports Festival partnered to bring tennis to the Arnold Sports Festival for the first time in 2014. The festival is the largest multi-sport event in the nation, welcoming more than 175,000 fitness enthusiasts each year; 18,000 of those take part in live competitions in more than 50 sports and events, including 13 Olympic events. Boggs Named USTA/Midwest January Volunteer of the Month

Columbus named 10 and Under Tennis Market

Columbus has been chosen by the USTA to be a 10 and Under market. Ohio Valley Member Chosen For 2012 Seniors World Team Championships

The USTA has announced that Gabriel Venter from Blue Ash, OH will rep will represent the United States at the 32nd ITF Seniors World Team Championships. The nation’s top tennis players in age groups 35+ to 55+ will compete against teams from 35 counties coming from around the globe February 6-11, 2012. The event will be held at seven different sites in the San Diego, CA area. Over 1,000 athletes are expected to participate. Read More
